Camp Michitanki Golf Classic

Sponsored for 15 consecutive years by Victory Honda, our golf scramble is hosted by National Hockey League referee Dan O'Halloran. Dan's son, Devin, had a liver transplant as a young child and became a Michitanki camper. This great event helps us raise the $80,000 needed to send up to 100 kids who have had organ transplants to Camp Michitanki.

For 2018, our annual golf classic moves to Washtenaw Golf Club operated by Polo Fields Golf & Country Club.

With its classic design, narrow tree lined fairways, and well-guarded greens, the course is one of Michigan’s hidden gems. Opened in 1899, Washtenaw Golf Club is the third oldest golf course in Michigan.

Plan to join us for a day on the links, or perhaps just for dinner and our silent and live auctions in the late afternoon.

We are grateful to Michigan Hockey Coach Red Berenson for joining our planning committee for 2018. 18 former UM Hockey players have have accepted Coach Berenson's invitation to play in our event this year. Every foursome registered to play will have one of these celebrity golfers assigned to play 9 holes with them. Celebrity golfers tentatively expected to play include Mel Pearson, Bill Muckalt, Steve Shields, Luke Glendening, Matt Hunwick, Eric Nystrom, David Roberts, Chris Tamer, Zach Werenski, JT Compher, David Harlock, Andrew Ebbett, Kevin Porter, David Moss, Steven Kampfer and Pat Nelson.

Your foursome will have five shots instead of four at every ball location including tees, fairways and putting. During the time that a celebrity golfer is playing with you, each player takes one shot. During times when it's just your foursome, you simply rotate the 5th shot through your foursome at each ball location. The scores will be low, the fun will be epic, and day will be a huge success!
