Camp Michitanki Golf Classic
Sponsored for 16 consecutive years by Victory Honda, our golf scramble is hosted by National Hockey League referee Dan O'Halloran. Dan's son, Devin, had a liver transplant as a young child and became a Michitanki camper. This great event helps us raise the $80,000 needed to send up to 100 kids who have had organ transplants to Camp Michitanki.
In 2018, we were joined by Michigan Hockey alumni, current and former NHL players who served as our celebrity golfers along with Michigan Hockey head coach Mel Pearson. We look forward to their participation again in 2019.
In 2019, our annual golf classic returns to Washtenaw Golf Club in Ypsilanti.
With its classic design, narrow tree lined fairways, and well-guarded greens, the course is one of Michigan’s hidden gems. Opened in 1899, Washtenaw Golf Club is the third oldest golf course in Michigan.
Plan to join us for a day on the links, or perhaps just for dinner and our silent and live auctions in the late afternoon.
We are grateful to Michigan Hockey's retired coach Red Berenson for sitting on our planning committee. Last year, 18 former UM Hockey players accepted Red's invitation to play in our event. We were fortunate to have Michigan Hockey Coach Mel Pearson with us as well! We look forward to Michigan Hockey's support for the 2019 event.
