Transplant Center Events

We did the first transplant in our state in 1964, and since then we have done over 11,000 transplants at the University of Michigan. This makes U-M the largest and most experienced transplant center in Michigan — and among the largest in the nation. We perform adult and pediatric heart, liver and kidney transplants as well as adult lung and pancreas transplants. We are also first in the state to establish a hand transplant program.

We host numerous annual events designed to promote life-saving organ and tissue donation and raise funds for our programs, projects, and initiatives. We invite you to join us as a sponsor, volunteer or event participant. Working together, we can do more than ever to improve the lives of our patients and families.

Make today your day to get involved! From elegant dinners to golf tournaments and a bowling party, our Transplant Center events promote life-saving organ and tissue donation and raise funds for our programs, projects, and initiatives. Additionally, friends of the Transplant Center host several community events each year to benefit our Center.
